Strengthened by His Word
Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future the latter day or time to come, knowing that she and her family are in readiness for it! She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness giving counsel and instruction. She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat. Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy fortunate, and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her, [saying], Many daughters have done virtuously, nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness], but you excel them all. Proverbs 31:25-29 AMP
Every Christian woman loves Proverbs 31. It's our own personal portrait of who we are in Christ; its how our Heavenly Father sees us. God sees so much more in us than we could ever imagine ourselves being or doing. So, it is fitting that He has revealed to us through His Holy Word, just how much goodness can come from our lives if we first look to Him. God, the Creator of the Universe, made us in His image and likeness. And, in the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. When we as women after God's Heart, seek Him in prayer, and take time each day to read what He dearly wants us to know about who we are in Him.
